Switching Over of Feed Stock from Naphtha to Natural Gas
MFL’s feedstock conversion project is in the advance stage of Implementation. MFL has already completed some of the modification jobs so as to consume R-LNG as and when it is made available.
Due to non-availability of gas pipeline connectivity to the Southern part of India based on Fertilizer Units and in the absence of gas alllocation from KG-D6 gas fields to MFL, sourcing of Natural gas could not be carried out by MFL.
MFL is exploring all the possibilities of sourcing Natural Gas. Heads of Agreement signed with IOCL on 17.09.2013, for supply of Natural Gas from IOCL’s proposed Ennore LNG Terminal, which would become operational by the year 2017.
Green Field Plant
MFL has planned to construct a new Green field Plant with Ammonia Plant of 2200 MTPD and Urea Plant of 3500 MTPD.
